  23. 2. I assume you've got a 33.6k modem. The ability to connect at rates higher 
  24. than 28.8 requires compatible 33.6 modems on both ends, AND requires an 
  25. exceptionally good quality phone line. You are lucky if you're getting 
  26. consistent connections at 28.8.
